Techno-Geekdom

Look, I know that everyone who has ever had a Mac thinks its the greatest thing since sliced bread, but PC's aren't the evil scum of the computerized earth!

I have a PC.  Windows XP.  Yes, I need virus software.  But that's the end of it.  If used correctly, you will never have a problem.  I have had to deal with a computer infected with viruses for 10 years of my life, and it was never because the computer was weak...

People are idiots.  Every Techno-geek knows it.  And idiotic people do stupid things - like tell the virus software not to scan, when it tells you that if you don't scan you are in grave danger!  The most dangerous thing the software has ever done was put an "ignore" button on the interface.  It allows people who are lazy to skip their trip to the doctor.  What happens when you don't go to the doctor?  You get sick...

People say the Mac is clean and intuitive.  I think it's really complicated.  I chalk this to whichever one you used first.  I'm big on keyboard shortcuts, so I have problems with the Mac because I don't want to maneuver with just that mouse.  And its a one button mouse? I thought the two button system was more intuitive than a shift click personally.

The coolest thing everyone says about Mac is that sliding tool bar across the bottom.  Well, boys and girls, thats old news!  Check out Rocket Dock...

I have been using this dock, similar to that of the Mac interface, on my Windows XP and Vista OS's, and it has cleaned up my desktop quite a bit.  It is very customizable in look and feel, and you can minimize items to it as well.  You can have it set to appear when your mouse goes over it, allowing you as much of your screen as humanly possible.  I have shared this with several friends and have heard nothing but posative feedback.  It's just over 6MB, so what could it hurt (  I promise, It's not a virus)?  Don't feel like you're settling for an obsolete OS.  Just start looking at the pluses in your package!
